Morning all! Happy Birthday to MissFR! I will admit to breaking the Parent Chat cardinal rule yesterday too, however, I am back on the wagon today. MILzilla's are tough, because there are always their son's to consider. I will say mine adores the kids, which is her only saving grace, or else I can't imagine I would willingly have anything to do with her. Oh, and Ohio - happy 2nd at-work-in-a-thong day!

Morning all. Mid 80's here today and sunny.

Fin, I love the idea of a candy apple read ice cream maker! I'm sure Little Miss Fin is going to love it. I have a c.a.red toaster and coffee maker. When my grandmother died I got the majority of her things. (This is the one who wore red to my wedding.) So I decided to go with a 50's red theme in the kitchen and use some of what she had in her kitchen. Red phone, red tissue box, red utensils, red canisters. That woman actually owned a set of red hard-sided Samsonite luggage. (Which I do not keep in the kitchen, lol.)

That's great! How did you find each other after all these yeas?

I'm glad I'm back on the wagon too! It's a peaceful, fun place to be!

We found each other on facebook. We just had lunch and caught up on the past 15 years. I could see us keeping in touch more now. We only live about 15 minutes from each other. Crazy. Last time I saw him we were just kids. Not really "kids" but I was in college. Now we're all grown up!

Anything in particular set you off or is this your generic "not in the mood for stupid people" that we all get?

Sorry, I was a bit terse wasn't I? The common response around here when discussing something with people who disagree with you, "well of course you are a foreigner....". Most of the time I ignore, but some days it just riles me up.

Zimbo, that would make me nuts. Way too dismissive for me to be able to handle with any type of grace.

Right now I'm on a personal crusade against use of the word "Cali" which is one big as far as I'm concerned.
