Yes...they are a chain.
And you've seen one, you've pretty much seen them all, no matter on where you go.

Whats wrong with being called a waitress ? Are they considered Food Service Technicians or something now?
It sounds to me like youre close minded about the place. Youre not willing to go and take in the atmosphere and such.

I did go I gave it a chance and I took in the atmosphere, I hated that atmosphere and decided to never go back. The simple act of finding the atmosphere of a place tacky and offensive after going and giving it a fair shot isn't being closed minded, it is thinking for ones self and forming ones own opinion.

My sister has been in the restaurant business for 15 years and her husband for 25 years. Most staff in restaurants simply are called 'servers', just as most airline staff are called 'flight attendants', Hooters insistence on clinging to archaic sexist language just further cemented my view of the place.

I am well aware that there are those who will disagree with me, obviously there are, the chain is doing quite well for itself, however, I refuse to patronize it again.

Ok well im glad you gave it a chance, and if you dont like it, you dont like it. Ive never met a service, just a Waitress or Waitor. And my cousin was an Air Hostess. The world is beocming to PC wit 'servers' being acceptable and Waitress not.

good ole Hooters! I took my son way back when he was 14 just to show him what a big "no biggie" it really was. When I was active in a truck club we used to go all the time but since the young ladies that work there are about the same age as my oldest daughter I was happy having a few cold beers and some really awful chow with some good friends. Every once in awhile we'd get the gals to take some pics for us.

yep, that's my truck back there somewhere

Its' next to a Harley Davidson dealership!! For the love of God don't bring your children there !! That place could be packed with Hells Angels and low life scum on 2 wheels !! Come on, I agree with you keep your family away and shelter them at home . That stereotype is terrible at best, fact is the food at Hooters is garbage and most of the "artificially enhanced" staff are not that good to look at anyways. I would refrain from taking the kids to McDonalds if it is near a post office also, we all know how nuts they can get.
