This reminded me...we had a long-time chief of police in my little town. He was younger than my grandmother, and every time his name was mentioned, my grandmother would bring up that he was still breastfeeding at 4 or 5 years of age. The kids would all be out playing, and he would decide he was thirsty and run to his mother who was hanging wash on the line or whatever, and she would pull up her shirt and give him the breast.

So he grows up, becomes a cop, becomes chief of police, and yet there is this old lady in town who outlives him, remembering till the day he dies that he was still breastfeeding at 5 and telling everyone about it. LOL.

The only thing I do know is that you can play with a wooden spoon for days and call it an education. Other than that, I have no idea what it is.

Oh, Ahem, yes, yes.

Maybe the boyfriend's mother breastfed him until he was eight and is now jealous of him co-sleeping with the OP?

Hey! Quit with the co sleeping bashing, you heathens!

You can mock everything else, but if it's something I've done, it's not allowed.

In this economy? There are a lot of people who are having to prioritize, and water bills take precedence over stuffed bunnies and jumparoos.
At least, that's how it is here. Maybe the economy's better in Canada.

Giving doesn't have to be financial.

I did it, too, but we didn't have a silly name for it when my daughter was little. It was called "I have to work full time and I am exhausted by the end of the day so I am just going to fall asleep right here next to my little girl."

We practiced involuntary co-sleeping.
