I agree. He sounds ready! My son just turned 18 months old this week and has shown no signs of being interested at all. But we did pick up a potty this weekend just so he can get used to it. Now we just need to take it out of the box. LOL

Make sure he's right there when you do. Make it a BIG DEAL! "Ooooh. What's this? It's a potty!! Wowie zowie!" Psyche him out. Make him think the potty is the best thing that's ever come into his little world!

I agree with previous posters that if your child is demonstrating interest, go ahead and encourage it. But don't be dissapointed if you are running late, if there are accidents, etc. Don't want to make potty a stessfull situation for them either. Besides having a house potty for them, I would encourage you to get a portable one for the car/park etc...like the Potette Plus from Kalencom (they have at Amazon.com or BabiesRus) or Travel John Jr.
