nope I wouldnt put them in a stroller either. MY 2 YEAR OLD WOULDNT BE THERE. But a stroller owuld be better if I think about it. If the wanna take a nap they can do it in the stroller. If they get tired they can get in the stroller. And when they wanna walk the stroller could be used to hold all the stuff. So a stroller is better than a leash.

Oh and for whoever said its not like animals because it doesnt go around the neck...most dogs have harnesses strapped to their torso rather than a neck collar. At least here.

I asked my brother (who is now 61) about this last night. He wore a harness when he was a toddler because he was very smart and would take off to investige something. This was a full upper-torso harness made in Europe.

Do you remember it? - Yes. Very clearly.
How did you feel wearing it? - It didn't bother me. I knew it was because I tended to run off when I got excited about someting.
Did you feel like an animal? - No. I felt like a little kid.
How do you feel today knowing you had to wear it? - I feel like Mom kept me safe. I never got hit by an oncoming train trying to run out on the tracks to inspect a rock.
Any lasting psychological impact? - Oh, please.

Using that philosophy, we probably shouldn't wear shoes either.....since we shoe horses.....and horses are...animals....

Tying the leash to the bus stop ... that's where I draw the line.

I'm re-posting this for anyone who thinks they are inhumane or only for people who can't handle their kids.

Ohio, you say, ever so innocently, that you are only saying what you yourself would do, yet you keep coming back to belabor the point. Why? You aren't going to convince any of us that a backpack harness=a dog leash, and you aren't going to convince any of us to keep our preschoolers at home while we enjoy Disneyland. Watch the video and tell me what, exactly is so bad about it. (I feel like I'm talking to Sarah Palin!)

No, YOU would be happier if the child was at home. I guarantee the kid would rather be at Disney with his family.
