My DH's aunt has not paid taxes in at least five years, they still have the house. I know that they are in arrears like $20k.

Wow, lucky you. My property taxes are running about $10K, and going up every year.

My property taxes are only a couple of hundred per year. This is just one example of what I was trying to say to Ivory earlier about different people being in different situations.
