I just put a sign out that says "Free." Once in awhile I post on Craigslist. The stuff is always gone within a hour or two (even stuff that I think is total junk)!
sounds like a big hassle to me! I just bring everything to GoodWill .... unless it is something a family member can use and would like. No hassle, someone takes the things from my car at GoodWill & off I go...
a pregnant mom posted a "wanted" ad on freecycle for baby items. I ended up giving her all of the decor from my son's nursery. I admit I had tried to sell it with no luck, but I got warm fuzzies giving it to her. she came right away, and was very appreciative. I'm glad another baby boy will be able to use it.
Right, well then maybe I had some weird lazy people emailing me.
I see most of you had positive experience with it Freecycle.
I will repost the add, eventually announcing in bold and caps that the only way to get the items is to pick them up.
My Freecycle group only covers my city. It's a big city but definitely not as big as one of yours, such as NY.
