I used to want a total of three kids (a boy, a girl, and a wild card ), but after my daughter was born... my husband and I decided that she was so difficult and that she would require all of our energy...
Ditto on those things. I always thought money was going to be the primary reason to have fewer kids rather than more but as it turns out, when you have just one "explosive child" that throws your previous needed-energy estimates out the window. I love my youngest, but she is so "not easy" right now it wouldn't be fair to her sibling to have another child which would just take yet more attention/energy away from him.
we originally thought when we got married we would have two maybe three kids but as you can tell by my screen name we had four boys would not change it for the world. A number of years back we flirted with the thought of trying for that girl.
I find that my children make this crazy world make sense but salsice his own.
