When he moved here two years ago, he brought clothes and personal belongings, the bed he sleeps on now is his roommates spare bed, its not even his.

See I don't mind with TG, I love when he comes to pick me up from work. Then I can kick back and rest on the ride home.

uuummmmm... how does that answer the question? Does he work? Why hasn't he bought his own stuff? your town isn't exactly conducive to living w/o a car.

I'll ask again:

Does TG have a full time job?

Until for some reason he can't pick you up.

Until he takes the car without asking .

"Oh he won't do that"

I'm watching thought my sister. I assume he doesn't work. Or works minimally. So with his minimal job how is he going to split the gas expense. He gets a flat tire who's paying for that? "It's your car". He wrecks the car and isn't on your insurance. Who's paying for that "Oh but I don't have insurance and it's your car".

I can't think of a bigger liability than sharing a car. I didn't even like my mom driving my car.

Beds are expensive and so are cars. He is going to try and get one with his tax refund.
He works right across the street from where he lives, so it works out for him.

A) He would be put on the insurance 2) He works fulltime #) He ALWAYS gives me gas anytime we drive to his parents. D) And no he wouldn't just up and take the car.

He is a very conscious and considerate person, the car is in my name, he wouldn't just up and take it.

Husbands and wives sometimes have to share cars and if he and I were living together, wouldn't it just make more sense, besides work we go everywhere together and more often than not I would be dropping him off at work and picking him up.

It is worrisome that you are "sharing" your car. It is yours (well, your grandmas), not his. If you want to let him borrow it sometimes, whatever, but "sharing" it implies a 50-50% split. No way is that a good idea.

Yes, we both do.
Re the bolded: If he is working full time, he should be able to afford both since he has minimal expenses.

Re the italicized: If he moves, he won't be across the street any more. That could cause a huge issue if you are sharing a car and bot have to get to work.

He WOULD be put on it or he IS on it??? There is a difference. Please don't compare yourself to married couples. It's insulting.

What's his drivers record like? Men are more expensive to insure than women (I think that's right). Expect your rate to go up.
