Good. Now maybe if they get counceling for their radical racism and agree to change their children's names... they can win it back.

From the article:

Quote:
A DYFS spokesperson told ABCNews.com in 2009 that she could not comment on a specific case, but said children are only taken into custody if there is a suspicion of abuse or neglect.
“We would never remove a child simply based on their name,” the spokeswoman said.

Thank goodness for that!

I know -- they cannot remove a child merely because of the name, I hope. There must be a heckuva lot more going on, and there better be to deprive parents of their fundamental Constitutional right to parent. Please note, I do not condone the names or the reasoning behind it! But as much as I vehemently disagree with brainwashing kids to be racist, I do not agree with removing kids because we don't like the parents' ideology. That is a slippery slope.

I live near the border and there are plenty of boys named "Adolfo", should those kids be taken away from those families?

Parents don't have a Constitutional right to be a parent. There's nothing in the Constitution about parenting. It is also not a fundamental right. There is a fundamental right to procreate. Procreation is not inclusive of parenting. Parenting is not a right. It's a privilege, which can be removed if it is abused.

Giving birth does not make a woman a parent, nor does providing fertile sperm make a man a parent. If there were some "fundamental constitutional right" to be a parent, then anyone who wanted kids would be allowed to adopt, because it would be a "right." It isn't a right. It's a privilege. Which is why some random homeless drug addict can't walk into an adoption agency and proclaim "I'll take two!" and walk out with a set of twins.

I guess naming your kid "Mickey Mouse" is okay though. Or Moon Unit is okay.

Question, if these parents had named their kid "Joe", would they still have their kid? Never get your self on the CPS radar!
