Since the school and the police aren't doing anything, you need to step up! It's your civic duty!. None of this flimsy annonymous calling. Don't try to hide behind *67! Why do that? There's nothing to fear but fear itself! Stand up for what you believe!

Are you ok Hopes? You sound a little unhinged. It's just a chat thread Hopes. Not a jury of my peers or life and death according to what people here say including you. Maybe you should step back a little and take a breath before you really get upset. Yikes! Hey, how's that kitty situation going?

I'd stay out of it. Maybe warn them face to face that they will mess up their life and record, but assure them that ur not a snitch. Or just MYOB.

Did you miss the part where MQ said the dealer was her mother's son, and his friends?
You, on the other hand, have a son who wanted to go on an undercover bust with the cops. And now you want to call about somebody else, who's situation you have no idea about.
Do you really not see the difference here?

Those were GREAT ideas! Didn't you want to brainstorm better ways to combat drug dealing? I thought that was the purpose of the thread.
And since there's no risk, your options are unlimited!

They are dwindling in numbers. Getting hit by cars, attacked by raccoons, etc.
I'm sure only a couple of them will survive the winter.
Nature is taking it's course without any involvement from me.

You've answered your own question. You can't do anything more. If, in the future, you have first-hand evidence, rather than word-of-mouth, then you can file another report.

Your son should join the police force rather than an be an informant. Much safer and he would have benefits.

Sorry, I hadn't read back through the whole thread...did now.
BTW, my mother calling the cops on my brother was many years ago--he is now 45 years old.

Oh, I think your mother is awesome, and has huge cajones, to boot.

Many good ideas, several that can be done under the veil of anonymity.
Either thong-up or shut up, I say.
When there where crack dealers near my oldest son's first apt, I went there one night and took their pix, including car and tag, in plain sight. One was getting out of his car at night and I zipped around the car, cursing up a storm and flashing the camera, screaming at him to get the F out of this neighborhood. He thought I was a total nut job and never came back. Yes, I could have gotten shot (as my son later felt the need to remind me), but at the time I did that, I was a mama bear. I was running on instinct, not logic.

Is your son trying to work with the police to have his possession charge dismissed?
