May I say something,?
I am a father that has delivered my own two children over thirty five years ago.
My wife breast fed them both about 9 months each.
The most important issue in her mind was a mother's immunities being transfirred to the child during it 's most vulnerable time.
I am not a doctor though I have studdied medicine and the human body for 40 odd years ,probibly the most significant discovery is that our culture is to blame for so many misgivings and misinformation over our health.
I know adults that do not know where their steak comes from. And people a re groosed out to find that chicken is a live animal sloughtered for our consumption in Mc nuggets .
It is an insult to the age we live in to be so peddy ignorant and culturally shell shocked over our bodies and their function, what we live on and the importance of a rounded healthy existance.
We are living in the 21st century ,a very long way from the dark ages ,yet we have learned nothing ,gained nothing ,being grossed out by natural body functions that have not changed sence God made us in the beginning.
By the way there are women ,whom against cultural taboos are breast feeding well into the child's 5-6-7-years of age..
I have known women that had offered them self a source, if all other food sources had collapsed .
I have a great sympathy for women over endowed, and the stress that goes along with it .
And for the record, I believe that one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen is an infant nursing his mother.
A prominant portion of a woman's anatomy, is her providing life to her young.
Yet so many seem ashamed of this advantage, by the pressure of an immature society.
In my opinion, (studdied in naturism" not participation ) Children raised in that culture are not distracted with sex ,as other children raised in extreemly conservitive culture.
Hiding something creates a market for it, among those that have been shielded from it deliberately.
Start wearing a glove, and in time folks will be asking why and want to see your hand.
Nicely said, glad you showed up
People who cannot understand the difference between bodily functions and breastfeeding are just clearly not educated on the subject.
ALL "bodily functions" are for the purpose of expelling waste of some kind.
Breastfeeding, on the other hand, is for the delivery of nutrition and sustenance.
Comparing breastfeeding to urinating, burping, sweating, defacating, vomiting, spitting or farting is like trying to compare filet mignon to cow patties
Sorry, Loves, that's not true. Saliva and sebum aren't waste-- they are produced by glands and useful to survival (oral health, digestion, skin health). Sweat isn't waste, it's the body's way of regulating its own temperature. Salt and water are vital elements, not waste. If you don't have enough of either, you'll die.

Gosh, I HATE to disagree with one of favorite favorite folks here -
but saliva is not spit until it leaves you mouth, lol, and most people only let it leave their mouths because there is something wrong or nasty about it causing you to feel the need to expel it from your body!
Likewise, while sweating is designed to help regulate your body's temp, sweat is most definitely considered a waste product. Biology 101 baby

By that token, then, breastmilk is not a waste product on par with those things because ...? It's treated like a biohazard, along with other bodily fluids, so in that respect they're all waste products.

Due to AID's being transmitted by bodily fluids ALL bodily fluids have to be treated as a "bio hazard" once they leave the body (by medical institutions or public spaces) but that doesn't mean they are all really dangerous.

There are things IN sweat that is waste. But the sweat itself is not.
I dont think I would have the heart to BF in public. I guess if there was a dire need and no way to go somewhere discreet of course I would but given the option I wouldnt but I'm a shy person. If I had one of those little drapy things then I would probably. IDK.
Whenever I leave the house I always bring 2 bottles of breastmilk and I heat it up to scorching hot so when she decides she's hungry it's nice and warm. But if that wasnt an option then of course im going to feed my baby screw what others think! lol.
