You might have to have 10 to get one of each!

I said if ANY type of procedure was too expensive I was going to tie my tubes with shoe strings.

But I would go with whatever meant no periods.

Isn't there like some scientific way to choose now?

Contracept? Interesting backformation.

Our infant mortality is low enough that we don't need large families to sustain our population. Also, believe it or not, a lot of women don't enjoy living a large part of their lives pregnant or nursing or both.

Yes, the only way to achieve that would be a hysterectomy...

By the time all the Duggar girls are grown up and have children that percentage of women who DO like that will raise.

a little bit of education is in order if anybody thinks tubal ligation stops period or vasectomy interferes with sexual enjoyment or performance.

getting a hysterectomy is not a procedure for contraception and is not voluntary/elective surgery. With so many birth control meds available now there is no period for months at a time.

I know but once I am done with kids, I don't want to have to take BC everyday. I haven't had a period in like 4 months now but I don't want to have to take something everyday and no way will I ever get the shot, I knew a girl who went from 98lbs to nearly 200lbs on the depo shot. No way!!!! I just don't want to have to deal with it ever again after I am done having kids. I know there are other things but nothing is 100%.

Nah, there IS another way. It just doesn't guarantee no periods for ALL women. Some have success, others don't.

As far as the OP's question, let's not forget infertility. I see/hear of/know more and more women with fertility issues (myself included) all the time. Obviously when I was a kid, that was not a topic of conversation for me, but I know that all my family members have biological children - meaning no fertility issues preventing them from having as many as children as they want.

And this post is not meant to offend in any way, since I know people will point out adoption. Adoption is not always an option.
