How would you feel if your child never wanted kids?
And i mean they have hit their mid 20's to early 30's, and are married and told you this?

That would be their decision to make. I wouldn't have a problem with it if that's what makes them happy.

Honestly, I would probably be devastated at first. It would take me a while to adjust, and then I would be very proud that I raised a daughter who was strong enough to make a decision like that because it was what was best for her and not just do something because it is "what you are supposed to do".

I would rather that they thoughtfully don't have kids than carelessly have kids that they did not want.

I already have a child who will probably never have children of her own, and that was no big letdown. I have three kids, so at least one of the others will probably have some. I like kids but I don't have any grandparental urges ... yet? I don't know if the biological clock starts back up at some point or what. I wouldn't mourn the end of my family line or anything like that.

I wouldn't mind at all. Whatever makes her happy.
Although, at that age, I'd take it with a little teeny grain of salt. You never know what life will bring. Never say never. (I wouldn't doubt her sincerity, but sometimes things just don't turn out the way we thought they would).

I'd accept it. It's their life and decision, not mine. Lots of kids out there could use a foster Grandma if I decided I wanted to do that.
I know too many families where the parents tried to interfere with their children's decision and it NEVER turned out well. In fact it usually got ugly and rifts formed.

Both of these. I want my kids to be happy. That looks different for different people. I have a number of friends (over 35) who don't want kids and/or don't want to get married. Perfectly viable life choices in my book.

I would be fine with it. Happy for them even. Having children is not for everybody. I just want my kids to have a good happy life.

I'd be sad... mine are not even in school and I am already looking forward to being a grandparent! I have three though, so chances are at least one will have kids.
