Note the especially concerning clip where the parents talk about pumping their children full of sugar so they will act "energetic" on stage.

I saw it last week- I thought she was kind of cute. Honestly, she (and her parents!) are no different than 98% of the other Toddler and Tiara kids! Crazzzy. I will say that 'honey boo boo child' has become part of our vocabulary at our house!

some Moms give their kids Red Bull. I think the whole business is child abuse and cheapens these girls and makes them look like hookers and strippers. And the money they spend on costumes, grooming, transportation, coaches, etc could be better directed toward diction classes and tutoring so they don't have to work in the local mill when they drop out of high school.

I agree with no kudzu...I couldn't get the video to work....but I know I`m not missing anything....I`ve seen the show before...it`s filled with sad, mostly angry little girls who have nothing nice to say about any of the others....it`s a very pathetic picture of little girls that put up with being primped and sprayed....maybe some phony teeth, hair, and lashes added (so they`ll know they`re not good enough the way they really are) and made to believe if they are the ``cutest`...they will win mommy and daddys favour......which is the main reason (I believe) that these children put up with it.

That mother is the most disgusting woman I have ever seen! Not only the way she presents herself but the way that she is willing to do ANYTHING it takes to get her daughter to win.

Wow, all the women on that video need to go on a diet ASAP. Mama earth quakes underneath them

<bends to the floor to kiss mom>

I can see how they can push all their failures and secret pageantry ambitions on to their kiddies.

Good news pick, Johnny

Disgusting, disturbing...and pumping kids Mountain Dew is just ensuring her own daughter is about her size in a year or two. Unfortunately, in some areas of the country, pageantry is a way of life.

I really don't get these people at all. A bunch of sad, depressed mothers trying to pump their own self-esteem and image by pimping out their daughters. If they invested just a portion of the money that they pour into these pageants into saving for their childs education, maybe they could finally break the cycle.

My oldest DD whose 3 has seen clips of the show and she thinks it's neat to "play dress up" like that, but we would NEVER NEVER NEVER in a million years EVER let her get involved in something like that. We try to reinforce to all of our kids that beauty comes from within, not from painting your face and turning yourself into a human Barbie doll. My daughters have a little sign in their room that I bought for them.

"If you are confident, you are beautiful."

I happen to think that all of my kids are blessed with good looks as well as brains, but it doesn't hurt to remind them of where beauty really comes from.

You seen the movie "Whip It"?

Mom says:
"We spent EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS to buy that thang"

All these Southern mommas. I just don't get it. And there's nothing different up north either, you go to the country clubs and see all mommas parading the kiddies or something similar.

Parents, parents, parents
