Note - anytime a picture is on a public website, it can be easily taken by someone who wants it. Once they have it, they can easily photoshop a clothed picture to a nude one if they wish to. Even if the pictures are copywrited in some way, they can be stolen. It's not hard.

Mass. Teen Girls' Facebook Photos Put on Porn Site - ABC News

Police in Massachusetts say part of a website has been shut down after it featured "hijacked" Facebook pictures of teenage girls from dozens of high schools and posted them on the site featuring child pornography.

Charlton Police Lt. Carl Ekman says he was told parts of the website were taken down Thursday. Police say the site featured 17 girls who attend Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton and other schools across Massachusetts.

Bay Path's Superintendent-Director David Papagni says parents alerted officials at the school about 50 miles west of Boston.

The photos of the fully-clothed girls contained information that could be used to identify the teens. The website is hosted in Ohio, but its servers are in eastern Europe.

The FBI says it's reviewing the situation.

Wow. That sucks.

On the other hand I will not be asking my daughter to change her already careful facebook habits. There are pictures of her on the internet already from various sporting events, science symposia, newspaper articles, etc. Deleting her facebook will not make those public pictures go away.

I'm sorry but I don't see this as a huge deal.
Ok, so your face gets photoshopped onto something, your close friends and family will know its fake and if you have it investigated and taken to the media then everyone else will know its fake.

People over react and think its the worst possible thing to have their head photoshopped onto a naked persons body...

My response would be "If I only REALLY looked like that." or "They could have done me more justice and put my head on a hotter body."

No instead lets cry...

Perhaps the OP's concern was the uploading of said doctored photos (along with the mined contact information) to a pedophilia website.

The link says porn site. EDIT: Ok I actually read the link but still, they aren't physically affected, I don't see the big issue.
Maybe I am just desensitized but it wouldn't bother me, ok so some guy is getting off to a doctored photo, I don't KNOW this for sure, and its not physically harming me, for all I know it could have already happened to me.

People look, people have thoughts, as long as I am not physically affected I don't really care.

To each her own. I was just trying to clarify why someone might think it was a problem.

Thanks for the link, Nana.

It's important to get this type of information out there.

Yea, I agree. It's gross but so are a lot of things people do. Chances are slim this would happen but the fact that it isn't real is the issue. Real kids are used in porno, now that is something to worry about but this, not so much. I'm sure they will correct it, the guy will go to jail, the kids aren't any worse for the wear. They will just be more careful in the future if they are upset by it.

If it were me as an adult I'd say the same thing, it better at least be a hot body. lol

This. There are already so many photos out there of just regular things, that this is just something people are going to have to deal with. There was a news story near me recently where photos from local high school wrestling tournaments were being taken from peoples posts and newspaper articles and being put in porn blogs and websites dedicated to male wrestling. So, here your kid goes to a wrestling tournament, gets his photo in the paper and next thing you know he's on some porn site. There really isn't much you can do to control it.

If you don't want your pictures copied then set your privacy setting so no one can view them if they are not your friend.
