Skin does not attach to metal. Anyway two failed mall piercings, and two successful piercings from a piercer. Anecdotal. But good enough for me. I will follow the piercer's advice.
I wasnt trying to argue with just comparing notes and trying to learn something new. Geesh.

We have a failure to communicate tone here. I was not arguing with you either. Just answering your question. My husband tells me I talk like a robot. I think that that makes me sound argumentative sometimes.

Where did you get it pierced and what after care advice did you get? If you got it done at Claire's, they gave you after care solution, I don't know if not twisting is the right advice. I don't want to be responsible for you getting an infection! Would the advice be a package deal?
Nice try, but I don't fall for the "I care about my kids and you don't" bait.
There's a difference between research and overkill.
I suppose I could take my car to get the oil changed at the factory, but there's no need to do that since there are plenty of other places with trained people who have the right equipment to do the job.
The perjoratives were yours, not mine.
So going to a piercer to get a piercing is overkill? Alright then!
Okay, I get it. So most people wouldn't research where to go or what type of procedure was used?
I would do at least a little bit of research. In the grand scheme I'm not sure it matters a whole lot. But I am having issues with my mall gun pierce, 26 years later... but I had no problems for 26 years...

It was Piercing Pagonda at the mall. They did give an aftercare solution and told me to clean and twist twice a day for the first 6 weeks. Its past that but I was still cleaning and twisting daily to make sure she didnt get an infection.
