Default Girl dies after running for 3 hours

How terrible and just plain negligent of her guardians. I think running a few laps around the house sounds like a good punishment, but this should have been obviously excessive. I hope the full details of the situation come out.

Ignorance is not always bliss, especially when the ignorant are parents with young kids depending on them to make good decisions

If indeed she died as a result of this obviously excessive punishment then they should lock up the parents and throw away the key BUT as all the information is not available because its unknown, i think it unwise to jump to conclusions that she was "murdered"

I don't know, the police certainly seem to think she was murdered, which is why they arrested the grandmother and step-mother

I think people need to be aware of the roles of sodium, potassium, and water in your body's delicate balance. It's too easy to take something that sounds innocent too far. Like the fraternity pledge who had a seizure and died after chugging a bottle of soy sauce. The frat wasn't supposed to be hazing, but if they had just been aware of what an excess of sodium like that can do then they could have had their fun without hurting anyone.

Three hours of non-stop running is a ridiculous punishment unless she was already on the track team and - well - not even then.

How stupid can people be.

Her death is just a tragey and senseless. I wonder if Mama can run for three hours?

They didn't just kill her, they tortured her for several hours. I hope they get what's coming to them, assuming this story is true.

Im not saying it didnt happen. Obviously something happened and if it is what it appears to be then they need to be locked up. But im just saying lets not jump to conclusions right away.

Most of the time, police have a solid case on which to base charges...you can bet this horrible crime against a child was discussed with the DA, who gave the to proceed...

so many parents without enough education and parenting skills....

Incredible to think this was a proper punishment!!!!
