And it looks like Mom was right.

I sincerely hope this young woman can get her life back on track, reconcile with her mother, and move on.

Sad thing about this is she says she can't believe someone could have such a cold heart, but she apparently didn't care about that cold heart when it affected his wife and children.

The article said something may have happened in 1998. His daughter is a senior, so if it's true it happened while he was married. Then again, if he is 40 or so now (I forget), he was in his early to mid 20s, so I don't know about calling a 17-year-old a victim. Was she a student? Guess I need to reread it.

Im amazed there isn't a statute of limitations on a case that long ago. But let's face it i doubt he will get convicted on this charge and they are just hoping to use this as leverage.

Who's to say dew, this is a young teenage girl, and you know how fickle we are in matters of the heart at that age "GOD MOM I HATE HIM AND CAN'T STAND HIM, AND IF HE CALLS TELL HIM THAT" *2 days later" "Mom david and i are back together again, i LOVE HIM SO MUCH!". Let's give it a few weeks before we all start our victory dance . Unless there are other girls popping out the woodwork it's going to be a he said she said situation, and after 14 years it's going to be hard to get a conviction.

Actually, I was waiting for someone to pop out of the woodwork. My guess is there are others but the publicity around this story is keeping them quiet.

Guys like that usually have a track record.

And another law gets inspired by the case:

Teacher-student romance would be outlawed by California bill - BostonHerald.com

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - California state Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen introduced legislation Tuesday to make it a felony for a K-12 teacher to date a student regardless of age, responding to a high-profile case at a Modesto high school in which the student is an adult.
