It's gross beyond words...but not a cause in and of itself to change custody.

I can understand the father's concern but I think it's too soon to act on it.

Yes, the mother is a dumbf--k, and the whole thing is sordid and disgraceful. And if the stage mama continues to exploit her daughter in pagents then she'll be the one to deal with a spoiled, self-absorbed brat down the road. Unless, of course, the child grows out of her cuteness, as some do ~ then there will likely be low self-esteem.

Little girls are very well-aware of the grown-ups. I was forever playing dress-up as a little kid and stuffing wads of kleenex down my tops to pretend I had boobs. Most of the time my mother didn't care as long as I stayed out of her makeup (got into real trouble for that). She let me have my make-believe world in the privacy of our home. But this is not the same as dressing up your toddler to perfection and seriously simulating sexuality out in public.

Still, I don't think it's reason to take the child away from her mother. Too soon to tell if there will be damage. Not yet.

Well this might be part of a documented pattern as well. Since the news often only gives the sensational we don't know all the details.
