Not sure this belongs in the Parenting forum as I don't see a single parent agreeing with her methods, it would seem more suited for the "Things Morons Do" forum.
As bizarre as this is, I find it comical. Maybe it's because I don't live in Utah. It might be a different story if I patronized that restaurant. I can just see Sat Nite Live doing a skit revolving this story.
I still think as bad as this is I have heard of worse parenting. I tend to be tolerant as long as people are not hurting their children. This mom is just really stupid, but not necessarily evil.
It is funny, how this has gone completely viral on the internet, and so many people are talking about this. Not one person, says this was okay, or in any way justifies it. A complete consensus on parenting skills, or lack there of...how often does that happen?! This has been condemned on so many levels, parenting, health code violations, complete lack of regard for others, just completely no sense at all. Everyone has been grossed out, and can't wrap their heads around any Mother doing this, in a public restaurant. I find that interesting...something, everyone agrees on. Amazing.
