Moderator cut: I will be combining all new threads like this one, where the righteous indignation of the general public toward random weirdos can burn to their heart's desire. Skip to the end to learn about the latest hullabaloo!
Who told her this was a good idea?
What kind of mother potty trains their child in a public restaurant, I can't imagine her doing that at the table in her home either!
let's just hope this foolish and ignorant mother has seen all the hoopla about this and realized the mistake she made. My question is why didn't the woman who took the picture take the matter up with the restaurant manager in the first place? obviously she was aware it is not right to do this and probably a safety violation. and the restaurant said they had several complaints so wonder if they ever approached the mother and asked her to leave.
I can't believe anybody would think this is appropriate behavior in public. It's not even appropriate at home.
Tell you one thing, the lady would be paying for whatever I had ordered at that restaurant, and paying for me to go elsewhere to eat by the time I was done speaking to her about such a nasty act. Potty training in a non bathroom area of one's home is one thing, but don't cause a health hazard in a public place by risking that, no, your little one doesn't want to sit on the potty right now and may get it all over the place. Not acceptable by any social standards, stand your ass up and go to the bathroom and hold your child while he/she sits on a big toilet for a little while.
This just beyond nasty ... what kind of person does this ??
What kind of restaurant allows that to continue?
If the restaurant employees aren't noticing two kids being potty trained at a table I'd hate to look in their kitchen and see what else they aren't noticing.
