...and we are drifting WAY off topic here.

I believe the initial poster was being amusing and this is getting way on out there. Let's start other threads regarding illness, pregnancy, or what have you, and perhaps some of these are best thrashed out in Health and Wellness or Controversies.

Your moderator thanks you!

Nearly the entire OP revolves, not around piercings, but around the curious, antiquated and sexist idea that teenage girls are supposed to remain virgins. I don't believe that, and I've always been thoroughly puzzled by people who do.
How about the idea that both young men and women should remain virgins? If anything about the last 40 years has made exceeding ly clear, it is that sexual activity outside of marriage is emotionally and possibly physically damaging, if a person is infected with a sexually transmitted disease that may or may not be treated and cured.

And, if, as a forum writer has already suggested, this is a public forum and people may express their views freely, then my view is that elitist pseudo-intelligentsia that parade their opinions as the only enlightened ones are as, if not more, narrow-minded than the most opinionated person that the intelligentsia has disregarded as less enlightened than they. Those that model their thoughts after the icons such as Machiavelli or Kierkegaard are only parading archaic and deluded thought like the emperor's new clothes. Everyone else can see what these people are, even though they believe their superior beliefs are clothing them in a bubble of biased bigotry.

Exclamation Okey-dokey, then....

I have no clue where all this came from after it was reiterated this was a tongue-in-cheek post, but let's call it a night...Goodnight, Gracie...Thread closed.
