No, many hospitals don't offer formula anymore because we've known for decades that it's not healthy for babies. I mean, if you want to feed your kid crap, more power to you.I won't tell you you're a bad mom for feeding your kid Cheetos, either. But I sure don't want the hospital offering it as a valid alternative!
Dude, seriously?
There are plenty of circumstances where formula is the only option - often for moms who desperately wish they could breastfeed.
And you can not tell me I'm a bad mom all day long - probably wise, because more of that kind of rude judgmental crap is not what we need amongst moms - more power to you and all, though. How about more power to everyone, no matter what they choose?

I'm not a mom but have heard so many horror stories of moms attacking other moms because of this issue. In one case it was a woman who planned to nurse but couldn't and for her to be attacked by another mom because she couldn't breastfeed bothered her.
I have seen that video with that older child and the mom is obviously nuts. Sorry but breastfeeding a 7 year old is gross. If a kid is old enough to remember it then the mom has a few screws loose. Women who don't cover up while in public get a thrill of it. There are coverings they can use and have seen these and this was fine to me. I've also seen women being discrete and not showing their breasts. Also fine. What I have found disturbing are when the women exposes their breasts and you can see both nipples.
I have to wonder how many of you are the type to attack bottle feeding moms. I have had friends who bottle fed go to the store to get formula and having other women call them names. I have heard many stories of women who didn't want to breastfeed or possibly couldn't and being harassed by lactation consultants, including calling them bad moms. One in fact was recovering from a C-section and the lactation consultant was so cruel my friend went into severe depression. Many hospitals don't even offer formula anymore because of the zealots attacking formula, often with false information.
Hmm, so it's fine and dandy for you to attack people for feeding their babies, but awful and judgemental when others do? Oooooh-kay then.

Do you not see the blatant hypocrisy of your post? Ripping on breastfeeding mothers yet feeling outraged when bottle feeding mothers are judged? How about we just stop judging and recognize that the vast majority of mothers are trying to do what they feel is best for their children, themselves and their individual situation. That would be a nice change of pace, don't you think?

The breast feeding threads always seem to bring out the claws and the judgement. Odd. It seems sooo hard for women to support each other and their individual decisions on this.

Not the same thing because breastfeeding a 7 year old is abnormal and breasts are a sexual thing whether we like it or not so when they are uncovered people get turned on. This is a fact.

Abnormal, my eyeball. Seriously, very few things are universally abnormal in this world.
I'm all for breastfeeding and support mom's that do this and would never say a peep. Personally though, I'm pretty modest and if a stranger starts breastfeeding in front of me, I get a bit uncomfortable. This probably dates back many years ago where as a teen, a mother pulled out her breast without any trace of covering up to breastfeed her baby while she was making conversation with me. I was mortified and never forgot that. To this day, I guess that I have a hang up but then that is just me and I'm not being judgmental about mom's who discreetly breastfeed in public.
Age wise? Dunno. I cracked up at the Game of Thrones comment. Yeah, that was a creepy situation and that kid was certainly too old to be suckling at his mother's breast, lol. (love that series!!)

Ok then how about I breastfeed an adult man?
