Carseats make it slightly harder for a baby to breath. So if you have a chest cold, the carseat will make it harder for her to breath to the point you may notice. Don't get me wrong - its still safer than no carseat. Just don't keep her in the car seat.
If you don't like/trust the ped. . .get a 2nd opinion. I would care zip/nadda/zero about what people here think of the baby video.
