OMG! This is so true. One of our boys is very advanced and smart (verified by his teachers) and he has been nothing but trouble since the day he was born lol!

I agree with this but only if you wait until 3 to look at your parenting style. You can avoid much of the 3 horror by taking close look at your discipline strategies at 2. Many people think of 2 as still babies, so DON'T address effective discipline that is appropriate to 2.

Oh, I don't know. Even with solid parenting/discipline choices from young ages, 3 can still be pretty challenging, IMO (perhaps because I am mid-3s right now?  ). Developmentally, kids are better equipped to be more explorative, inquisitive, verbal, and "test limits" to see how the world works at 3 than at 2. Fewer tantrums perhaps, but still pretty patience taxing at times. I truly believe every age has its challenges that get offset by the cool new things the kids are capable of at that age.

Ah, the terrible twos, trying threes and the f'ing fours. I am scared to what the 5s are as they are right around the corner for me :/ Another, "thank god for wine" moment..lol
