But after listening to his 6-year-old daughter rage for over an hour, dad decided to mix it up by lip-syncing his daughter’s screams. Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
Mom Kathy Sterner captured the sound of their child’s high-pitched squeals and her husband Keiron’s reaction on video.
I have three kids, and none of them has ever thrown a screaming-meemie fit like that, though. And over "no McDonald's for dinner"??
I just can't imagine.
The one funny thing we've done lately that involved mimicking the kids was at a restaurant, where we realized our 10-year-old's table manners could use some refining. For example, he usually keeps his arms on the table and brings his mouth down to his fork, and he was leaning over to drink out of the straw without lifting the glass, but rotating his head all around to keep looking at all of us. Just little weird stuff like that.
It was driving my husband nuts, though, so he finally said, "When you start to do something at the table, imagine your mom doing it. If it wouldn't look right, then STOP it."
So of course, I started doing all those things and acting like a 10-year-old boy at the table, and he was like, "OK, I got it. I'll stop." It was so funny.
while it's funny, I have an almost 4 y.o. so all I can think of is, Oh God, they still do this at flipping six??? And yea, over Macdonald's?? I thought those raging screaming tantrums should end around 4 according to parenting books, well until pre-teen age at least, haha. Now I'm terrified. Does this really never end?? I'd think a six year old should already know better and be expected to not act like that, am I wrong??

My son had a full blown meltdown over a frosted donut last week. He's 7. Good luck!
Oh I don't know honestly. I've gotten good at tuning him out. When I went to check on him he'd fallen asleep fully clothed in on the floor, so I assumed he yelled himself into exhaustion.
The video was mildly amusing. I wonder why the parents didn't discipline the little girl.
It's okay to get upset and express that. However, that little girl was in her room screaming for over an HOUR.
I'm sorry, but that little girl should not have been allowed to disrupt the entire family for that long with all that screaming. She should have been told to pull herself together (after an acceptable period of time) or face additional consequences.
