Why are they (according to you) so afraid of them women they married?
That is what I am wondering. If they have some sort of suspicion the kid isn't theirs why can't they take ownership of the decision to get a paternity test.
I wouldn't stop my husband at any time if he wanted a paternity test. I think it would be naive to say though that I wouldn't have any thoughts or opinions on it, and I shouldn't express them because they might make him afraid. But hey, my husband isn't the kind of guy who would want big brother to make something mandatory because he'd be too afraid to address the issue on his own.
Obviously they guys who are too afraid to pursue paternity testing without government intervention are the guys who are too afraid to lobby for it to become law.

Because they are weak little feminine freaks. Sort of like white knights who wont pass up an opportunity to stand up for womans respect and honor.. haha
There's no distaste for anyone but if paternity tests were mandatory, you bet a lot of women would be in trouble. That's a fact. Personal opinions don't matter to this.
We're seeing it now with cheaper DNA sequencing/genotyping. Person logs into his account, checks his DNA Relatives results and sees he has a half-sibling he never knew about, or that person and his sibling share only one quarter of their DNA. It is still a fairly low number though.

Are you seriously asking this question? Its because most men are afraid to ask for paternity testing, simply due to the way women react to it. Men can and do seek out paternity testing behind their wives back, but it shouldn't be so. There should be no secrets in marriage.
If there are no secrets in a marriage - they wouldn't need a paternity test in the first place.
