When I was pregnant with my daughter a few months ago, I received a free diaper bag from my doctors office. It had the free formula, coupons, etc. One of the best things that came in that diaper bag was a voucher for a free spa service with a participating salon in your area. So after my daughter was born I called the 800 phone number on the back of the voucher and gave the customer service rep my info and she said someone would call me back regarding my free massage and setting up the appointment. I was So excited! Well I waited about two weeks and never heard from them. So I called them back and was told that my call would be "escalated".

Long story short, the marketing company running the spa promotion keeps giving me the run around. They say their computer systems are down so I asked the rep why are they even at work if their computers are down for weeks at a time. She didn't have an answer for that one. They put me on hold and then hang up and a whole bunch of other BS. It is so frustrating! Why are they advertising and not following through? I checked on the BBB and the company has had over 130 complaints in the past 3 years. Its been almost 3 months now since the first time I've called them and have yet to hear from their supervisor.

Now, I am not that hard up for my free massage I am just simply pissed at the horrible customer service I am getting. Have any moms had this experience with this promotion? What did you do? Did you ever get your service?

Ugghhhh, I am sooooo frustrated with those idiots!!!

I never received anything like that. Did you tell your doctor's office about it?

I was going to say the same thing- the Drs office might be able to put you in touch with whomever brought them the bags.

No, I don't think there is anything the doctors office could do about it. The diaper bags were from Similac. I took it because its always nice to have some formula on hand (especially if its free!) and another diaper bag. It had other goodies in there like Aquaphor samples, diaper cream, JC Penny and Sears portrait coupons. Basically, all that junk you get in the mail when you have a baby but in a diaper bag. The voucher isnt even from Similac but a separate marketing company. Similac probably has no idea what kind of fools they chose for their promotion.

The doctor might be interested in taking it up with the Similac rep who left them the bags. I really doubt they (Similac) would want that many new moms ticked off at them if they can't get their spa treatment-assuming it's happening to other moms who receive the bag. Good luck-that really stinks!

I just got off the phone with Similac to let them know what was going on. Apparently, they have been getting alot of complaints from us moms about the marketing company and are working with a liason on the problem. The CSR with Similac apologized and said that the marketing company was doing really well at the beginning of the summer but are now recently getting lots of complaints. I really don't care at this point if I get my free spa service or not, I just had to vent. My husband is sick of hearing about it, lol.

Well, that's good they're following up with it. Maybe your husband will get you a spa GC for the holidays
