Well done Dad! It may take a couple of more overnights, but it will get easier. I'm happy for you, and your sons.

Thanks. It's the first time I'm having holidays since any of them was born. I'm amazed at how much they seem to love me despite I never giving them proper attention.

Today had to lay on the floor and pretend I was a prisioner for the oldest one. Took them to the park later to play football, eat icecream and lay on the grass when they got tired.

Quite the contrary, I'm thankful for such good advice.

Here's news: Two kids kicks it out of the 'casual' category. (Isn't it about time for #3 to be coming around?)
You're right, casual was not the right word. I just meant we never had a very 'formal' traditional relationship.

Who are you trying to convince? Yourself, or us?

Kids are like dogs; they just want to be loved and will do anything to try to make that happen no matter how badly you beat them.

No one, just saying.

Please, don't insult me. I know I'm far from being a good father but you speak as if I keep them in a cage.

I wasn't inferring you beat them; sorry, didn't mean it that way.

I was pointing out how you posted this thread and asked for advice, yet you seem as if you didn't really like people's answers. Then you suddenly start posting comments about what a great dad you are and how your kids just love you, and it just seems, well...like you are trying to prove it to us or something. This was one weekend. Will you be there next Thursday or will you have to work? What about the next weekend? This Dad thing is a 24/7 job.
