Any men or fathers have to arguing with the mom when you have to discipline your children? How do you deal with it? I'm divorced, but have a some what okay relationship with my ex. who, as usual, has gotten custody. I have witnessed my 4 year old on a few occasions, hitting, punching, kicking, scratching, etc his mother when he gets upset. When I'm there and he's around him mother, he has also become brave enough to try this with me.
The problem I have now is that when ever I try to discipline him, his mom, aunts, grandmother wants to interfere. Any advice?
Well you know what he is in the custoday of his mother. Just tell her don't give him an inch and let be. Eventually you could come by and be miracle dad, and take your son all over the place. Look like the good guy.
Seriously a whole army of women...........wow..........Sounds like a bunch of looney nonsense...
I would just get custody of your son, and teach him to be a man.
Even families with generally good interpersonal dynamics can experience conflict over disciplinary issues. I suggest speaking to your ex-wife about the issue separately, stressing that your concern is for both of them. In the heat of the moment is not an optimal time to try to work this out.
