Babies are unpredictable, messy and constantly changing. Sleep-deprived parents struggling to make sense of their tiny humans' behaviors are starting to take a scientific approach, collecting data in the hopes of solving problems like not sleeping through the night.
I can see where this could come in handy for some. Especially if one has had a child die of SIDS. Not saying this will prevent it, but at least it will notify the parents that something is wrong with the baby. Also, if you're not in the same room or floor as your infant, this could help ease some worries about the distance.
