Why should "I" buy them a car? That in,y teaches complacency & not how to work for the things they need/want.

I would pay for tutoring and travel the world experiences.

My kids are adults. If money were not a concern, I would pay off all their student loans and buy each of them a house. They could live in the house, sell it, rent it out or whatever, but that would give them a good base for financial security.

My son has a chronic illness, so he has missed out on a lot of living the last few years. Treatments for his illness are out of pocket, and we have a long way to go before he is in remission.

I would give everything I have for him to be healthy. Stuff is just stuff. I wish we could buy time.

This surpasses everything posted in this thread. It sure puts things in perspective.

Happiness, if it were only possible. I'd spend every last cent I had.

Private school. That's pretty much it. He's already got enough toys, and we can afford camp. Some private lessons in things like piano would be nice, but I could probably afford that now if I really wanted to - it's more of a time issue. But private school instead of public, which has been totally ruined by "reform," is something I wish I could give him but can't, because tuition in my area is about 20K per year for the cheapest private schools.

I'm surprised how many people said travel. My kid HATES traveling. He'd never leave the living room couch if I didn't force him.
