Humans are disturbing, we have been since we stood up on some sub Saharan plain.. . and probably before that (see the crap that Chimps do to each other?)
My assumption is that unless you brace yourself, you will fail the test
and if people tell me that they would do something brave on the internet, I consider that bravery as a reflection of being hidden behind text and a computer. . and not real world bravery.
I have no idea why she went through the windshield but I like to think it's because she knew it was going to be the most expensive window to fix!
I think she was worried the glass would hit the baby. I would just break the front window and unlock the door. They don't shatter like you think they would, because it's safety glass. I've had two windows shattered by thieves.
I'm glad to learn to that good Samaritan laws protect from liability. It used to be that doctors and nurses feared stepping up because they might get sued.
It's amazing she fit through that hole without getting cut up. I wonder why she didn't break a side window.
Maybe she broke the window furthest from the baby, to prevent glass from getting on the baby......and maybe the side windows are smaller.... I'm glad she saved the baby....
Good job. my Benchmade triage that I carry with me always has a a glass breaker on it, but have never used it. I was surprised to learn how difficult auto glass is to break though, so i'm glad to have it.

You never know how a person will react when faced with a crisis...
My firefighter friend comments on this all the time.
I chased down a burglar and had him cornered as the police I called arrived... publicly the officers told me it was foolish and risky... privately they thanked me because the guy was suspect in several break ins and it turned out to be his third strike.
Again, given the right circumstances people might just amaze you!
