What do say to a woman who has 3 kids, (none of whom live with her anymore) 2, 12, 13 and has lice for over a year!!
the kids are clean i believe, as she is not a good mom, hardly ever sees kids, oldest refuses to speak to her.

(this can also tie into thread "advise needed...ex assualted brother)

Don't say anything. Stay far away so you don't catch it.

I'm surprised they are able to attend school. My kids went to an elementary school (when they were younger) with lice problems and we had to stay on top of it all the time. Kids who didn't pass the weekly head checks were sent home with a note not to return until they were clean.

ara^bess,
It's the mother that has lice. Not the children.

Bring her a bottle of Riddex and a metal fine tooth comb and drop it off at the door. It sounds as though she has mental issues if she's just willing to live with having lice. They are VERY contagious so stay away from her and her house. The lice will live in furniture, carpet, etc.

Of course she can't get rid of them by herself, she needs someone to comb out the eggs from her hair.

Anywhere and everywhere she goes is going to be infected as well.

Maybe call your local health department while you're at it.

Oh sorry!

How gross is that? She needs a whole kit to take care of her head and her linens at the same time. She HAS to know they are there because they itch. Worse yet, they get all over the whole body. I would talk to her in the yard at over a two foot distance....unless you want to take some home with you.

If she has had lice that long no one should even step into her home, car or near her. By now there has to be lice everywhere she sits or lays her head. Her car has to have it, her linens, towels, clothes, couches, furniture, bed, you name it. The health dept. should be called.

Call the health dept. Don't deal with it yourself.

A YEAR?!?!

They are no longer "lice". They are now pets, obviously.
