Happy, but next on my list would be "kind" rather than good, just because kindness, IMO, is so very important in life.

Good. As in a morally good human being.

Happy, and very, very, very healthy (she had cancer twice, so I hope she will never have to go through health issues ever again).

I raised my kids to only be happy if they are being good, are relatively smart and successful at what they try to do (unless you were equating success with money...), so I'll pick #3 Happy for sure.

confidence...in himself , without arrogance

I tried to teach my son to steer his own ship, not wallow in the currents of others

I taught him, its ok to be silly and giggle ..... laughter is music to the gods

I taught him karma....good begets good

I taught him to be a coach in life not a cop. meaning it is easy to ridicule someoneor identify mistakes, that's being a cop

a coach has a WE mentality, how can you help someone when they need it

also as a parent, I didn't cofine him... I didn't overprotect him, so he couldn't make his own choices,

I didn't dictate his eating choices in the name of health, I tried to give him info to make his own decisions

he's now a 22 yr old man, a health nut, and in one more yr will be a pharmacist
he has roomates, that had very over protective parents , and they are now making up for lost time- whether it is food or other areas, they are going nuts .

My goal was that my daughter turn out to be a person with compassion for others and to see herself as a part of a larger whole and understand that the choices she makes affect others, not just her. I think I was successful. There were other goals--I raised her with "To thine own self be true" as her motto, which she thanked me for this past year as an adult. She was smart by nature, so that's just the luck of the draw.
