I am 20 and I dont even do stuff with my GF in my room with the door closed! Its called respect really I am not going to fool around with my GF with my parents in the room next door watching TV and I dont think my parents would allow it. And her parents dont even allow me to be in her room or even in the house when they are not home. She is 21! (we are both in school so parents support us we follow their rules) Its more of thing of respect then anything else. I dont think kids should be allowed to do that until maybe 17-18 but even then I find it disrepectful. There is a huge problem with that. And there is a good chance they are doing a lot more then watching tv.
Also since when do 14 y/o girls play videogames????

Yep, think it's totally unacceptable behavior. You friend said her piece, and I hate to say it, but it's not her place to do anything about it. She's right....IMHO. Opposite sex youngsters were not allowed in my kids' rooms...period. They were required to remain in a "public area"
I think you assuming that teenagers are going to indulge in safe sex and be responsible is more then just a little optimistic. Again, the statistics of teenage pregnancy will back me up on that.

Encourage them to have oral sex, and you significantly reduce the risk of pregnancy.
