Has this happened to you whilst cleaning your teenage son's room?

It happened to a friend of a friend and I was shocked by how she handled it.

The porno in question was hardcore (intercourse and all the rest).

Happy polling!

How did your friend handle it, and why were you shocked?

Only shocked that she found actual magazines rather than evidence that he had been watching porn on the internet.

I will never understand people who get worked up over this. Your son (or daughter) is merely experiencing what every other mammal experiences during their switch to adulthood. It's far better to masturbate than to have unprotected sex with all its consequences.

How old is the teen? If I found this sort of stuff in my 18 year old's room I would ignore it.

Wouldn't that depend on the subject matter, though? What if the photos depicted violent behavior (bondage, rape, etc) or if the sex was between men and you didn't know your son wasn't straight? (Female-only smut means the lad is so-called normal. )
In those two scenarios among others a non-judgmental conversation once you've soothed your nerves would more likely be called for. Don't you think?
