I'm wonderingly at what age kids can be expected to shower on their own...from turning on the water to getting dried and dressed?

I think with my kids it was around 8 before I stopped checking the water temperature, but they were drying off and dressing well before that, probably at 6. Prior to 6 they preferred baths so they could play.

Thanks! My kids are 8 and 9 and super resistant to doing it all on their own...and I am sick of getting all wet helping out. I came up with a point game to get them used to doing it on their own. I just wanted to double check they were old enough.

We always kept our water heater turned down far enough that they couldn't burn them selves.

Also 8ish, so yeah, they are old enough, and it's fine to come up with ways to gently make them do it. My son still offers to come hug me when he's dripping wet but at least I can duck and cover.

I'm not sure. I think around 5 or 6. She is 7 now. I usually shower with her. But she can shower by herself, and does it sometimes. (But she only showers by herself by choice. I wouldn't make her do it by herself at this age.)
