LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 17 (UPI) -- A 7-year-old girl was dragged over 1,000 feet after being caught in the door of her school bus, according to witnesses and police.

Video footage of the Friday incident shows the girl being pulled down the road after her backpack was snagged in the door of a school bus from Wilkerson Elementary School in Louisville, Ky.

That's awful, but at least her injuries were not life threatening according to the article. I'm not sure how the bus driver started up with the door part way open. I would think there would be some kind of safety light about the door.
