I've never heard that. Parenting is a life long job. You do not retire when your child turns 18.

The people who are bragging about this, are likely the products of poor parenting themselves.

Raising a child is easy. Doing everything the culture and the law demand of your process of raising a child is now virtually impossible.

People have been raising children since they evolved opposable thumbs, and even the stupidest, most incompetent have succeeded. Children grow up themselves, to become their own unique self with their own character, which will be what it will be. Guide and protect them, and be the role model you hope they will follow.
