When I see that sign I'm not going to wonder why that driver is unable to exceed the speed limit.

Yes - seems like moms with kids in the car drive the fastest - speeding off to all the kids' activities, I guess!

I think that the signs are good for first responders but as far as using them for other drivers to slow down that is not going to work. You need to take your own precautions as far as driving and do what you can to keep your children safe on your end. Unfortunately we can't always keep our kids safe. We have to trust God to take care of them and live our lives as best as we can. We can't control everything.

I'm guessing that these days emergency personnel are more likely to look for a baby if they see an infant sized car seat in the car, as opposed to a "Baby on Board" sign which has most likely fallen off the window in the event of a crash.

These days a "Baby on Board" sign is just something that someone can use to express their individuality on their car, much like bumper stickers or those stick figure family things. The original purpose of encouraging other drivers to drive safer is mostly lost in this day and age.

That's my thought as well.

If not,is there anything else that may help to alert people to stay back and give us some space?
I haven't seen one of those in years. When they were used, no one read them.
