Yes. Dad was homeschooling. Mom paid child support and spousal support until he got a job. Continues to pay child support because she makes more.

I can think of one, but her situation is not that great so I can't expect her payment to be that much.

Pretty much every time I hear of a situation where a woman doesn't have custody and pays CS, there's a reason for it. (drugs, homeless, criminal, etc). Not all, but a lot of the ones I've come across

Yes, husband is a stay at home Dad and she continues to support him so he can take care of the kids after school and summers. She doesn't pay child support since they have joint custody, but pays a boat load of alimony.

Not around here. All guidance is 50/50. I see almost no single custody parenting around here. And I see no female bias either. It is too bad it is not like this everywhere.

I knew a woman who was paying child support for two children. She fled the family home and the children stayed with their father. She paid child support until the boys aged out. I don't know how much, it wasn't my place to know. She did have a decent-paying job.

I am a woman who has paid both spousal and child support. Based on the state formula--same amounts as a man would pay if he made more than the woman. The formula for determining this is state specific and gender neutral.

My ex technically had custody because they nominally lived with him because they did not want to change high schools.

Nope, only knew one couple where they had shared custody and their daughter actually spent half of the week with her father and another half with her mother. When her father moved to another city, their daughter moved with him and stayed with mom on holidays (father never asked for child support then, he makes more than enough and his ex did not make any), then after several more years, she moved in with her mother.

Yes. It is common if the father is the custodial parent, has primary custody, etc, or if the custody is 50-50 split and she makes more money. The latter situation I'm familiar with; he had the kids 4 out of 7 days/week, and she made a lot more money than he did. He was essentially a SAHD who did handyman work before the divorce.
