have you ever thought of Respecting Your Sons Privacy?

#seenoevil[/quote]

Yes!!! But last year, I went through an issue when he was talking to random people on line!! & texting strangers! So at that time I started to go through his phone! So yes being a mom, don't this give me a right? Yes I will stop once he is a little order. But for now. No!

No one I know gives their 13 year old any phone or internet privacy. It is a parent's responsibility to make sure their kids aren't talking to strangers online, sending inappropriate texts, or viewing inappropriate videos.

Yes, it does give you a right. Everyone I know monitors their kid's internet usage, as they should.

Two things - how have you not checked his internet usage before? Seriously? Also how have you and your spouse not talked about gay people before? Weird.

Do you go around talking about gay people? Why would me and my spouse talk about gay people?

Your son is most likely gay.

When I was 12, 13, I was getting in trouble for watching straight porn.

One day last week, I happened to go through his internet history, I never done this before until now!!! & I see three sites that he went too. Gay porn (man on man) and amine gay porn (man on man) and cartoon gay porn (man on man) I freaked out, I did not know what to say or think, I did not want to mention this to his dad, because he would have not liked seeing this what so ever. So, I waited all day until I picked him up from school to ask him about the sites that I saw on his phone. He started to cry & I told him, I love you & I want yo to be happy, love has no color or no gender, I asked him if he liked girls or boys and he said that he did not know! He was like I am curious! I asked do you like both?? He said he did not know. I told him in confidence that I will love him no matter what & I will always be his mom, I have not told his dad, because I am not sure how his dad will react! I need some advice please! Is my son gay or bi or just curious?? Should I tell his dad or wait to even say anything to his dad until my son is honest with him self and me
Why haven't you set parental controls on the phone in regards to what he can access?
Also you should ask him why he lied to get onto the porn sites when he signed up, one has to put in their date of birth and verify they are a minimum of 21 years old I believe but it may be 18.
You have bigger issues than his current sexual curiosity.

To keep your kid safe from online predators, they get NO internet privacy. I applaud the mom for checking her son's internet usage...that's what parents should be doing.

Regardless, this is a great opener to discussions about responsible sexual behavior, relationships, love vs lust and all manner of important conversations about sexuality.

Agreed. He's 13 years old, with surging hormones and a whole new world (sexuality) opening up to him. Give him time to establish his sexual identity.

THIS!

Not only will porn cause him to have unrealistic expectations of sexual relationships, it will also cause him to have a warped idea of people's bodies - and of his own.
