Thanks for the welcome.

It's odd that someone is asking a bunch of people on the Internet to weigh in on such a personal matter. And since it is asked, I can only assume it'll have an impact on, again, such a personal matter. Flabbergasted I am.

And I'm also amused that people are so full of themselves that they think their opinion carries weight on another persons oh so personal and intimate decision. I feel like those who respond with an answer have a skewed view of their own importance and that of their opinions.

The OP's message is: My child is so important that I need to ask the world about this. Note that there are a buttload (technical medical term) born every friggin second yet there aren't very many posts about what they should name their kid. Why? Because most don't have such a warped sense of how big of an event this is to the world (i.e. it's not). Perspective.

On the flip side, the respondents message is: I am so important that my opinion matters on something that I have zero part of. Regardless, I am awesome enough to render my opinion.

Come on, reasonably sane people can understand. This is a weird thread with people who have a poor understanding regarding the level of their level of significance.

Haven't yet read thru all of the responses, but my advice is for you and your wife to choose and not tell anyone until AFTER you've named him.

This decision might not even happen until delivery. Eh, so what? When I looked at my sweet baby's face, the name would always come to me.

Asking for opinions will just make the choice that much harder.

FWIW, I vote for Asher, lol.

First name: Who
Middle name: Cares

Congratulations on your bundle of joy. Hope he doesn't ruin your relationship or life too bad.
And yet you take the time to respond...interesting, very interesting...

I'm not one to leave a thread hanging. Jonathan Joseph was born a week ago.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback.

Congratulations! Love the name and the possibility of "JJ" for a nickname.
