Anybody read the book "Freakonomics"? People have named their children "****head."
|
Ha, yeah!! There was another one....

An ex-coworker's sons were named Justice, Wisdom, and Knowledge. She became pregnant with her fourth child while she was here. I told her to name the baby Slacker-the other three had enough to live up to

This reminded me of one from Freakonomics....damn I can't remember!! The father named his kids ...something like this.... and the last was similar but negative, and he was the successful one. Its been bothering me all day, since I first read this thread, and I no longer have the book...

That's actually a very common name... just not in the US. It's normally spelled Talia or (with a bit of a different pronunciation sometimes) Thalia but it's common in Israel, Greece, and to a lesser extent Latin America.

I have a friend who is a doctor. She had a young girl come into the ER to deliver- no prenantal care, very young, unprepared. She had no names picked out, so she choose after the baby was born. Despite all explanations, cautions and pleading from the staff, the poor little boy was named.........
Meconium.
Beat THAT!

My aunt is a labor and delivery nurse and a patient of hers named her daughter after the name of the manufacturing company displayed on the light above the bed because she thought is was pretty. She comes across a lot of good ones. LOL. Her favorite is when a mom will ask her how to spell the name they picked. She tells them if YOU can't spell it, pick a different name. LOL.

I worked with a girl named Stormy Mountain.
YEs, that was her real name. No, she wasn't a stripper. lol
I thought she had a cool name- it suited her quite well.
Not all unique names are so fitting though...lol

In high school, we had a french exchange student named "Condom." I guess that's an acceptable name in France. We just called her "Condi."

LOL Nic59!
I know somebody who named her daughter Nala after the Lion King character. And she specifically did it b/c of the lion's name in that movie.
I work for an insurance company and see some butes come across when a new baby is born. I always wonder what some people are thinking. LOL.
