I was in first grade with a Nebuchenezzar Haliburton. This poor girl's name took up the whole side of the page in the yearbook. I met a girl in high school named Erotica. Needless to say she had a baby before we graduated.

my husband worked with a girl named Silkia Cucchi.. She prefered to be called Silky hence the name Silky cucchi (pronouced cootchie) ... her parents were oblivious becasue they were foreign.. Poor girl..
I also went to school with a agirl named Crystal Waters and a boy named Star and a girl named Cleopatra.. I can remember once we had a waitress and her name was Temptress

in highschool I worked at a childcare center and had twin boys named Bear and Wolf and another pair of parents huge starwar fans named their kid Anikan Jedi ... Now THAT is a bad name!

You people have got me thinking

How about the name "Tremendous" - that's what a friend of a friend named her daughter.

Well my real name is Krista. When I was born my mother wanted to name me Kristen but my Dad wanted to call me Krista. He really did just love the name but he did used to date a german woman by that name before he met my mom.I guess it is a good thing my mom was never the jealous type.

I have four kids. All with my husband. He is into Science Fiction and Fantasy and he came up with some real humdingers for names. Thank God all four have nice normal names.

I also went to school with a girl named Snow White (really did not know her well) and a girl named Lady Love. There was an older girl who lived near my grandmother named Penny Coin. My mom thought that sounded like a strippers name.

That kind of creeps me out!
I have lost a few good names, though, because hubby was at one time "affiliated" with X woman whose name is/was on my baby names list. He hates the idea of fathers naming their daughters bimbo names, or after someone they liked or dated. As for me? I'll roll the dice if I like the name well enough.

I love, love names that are a little off the beaten path. Just not the Snow White or Neveah route.

Better than Monique and Unique-- its always sad when one has the normal name and the other loses out! At least they are either both messed up or both normal!
