It is amazing how little the age difference makes the older one gets.
17 and 19? Eh, no big deal.
17 and 32? Society would have a total hissy fit!
30 and 45? "You gonna regret that!"
60 and 75? Nobody cares.
Rather amusing, actually...

It depends. If the 17 year old is a junior in high school, and the 19 year old is in college or working on their own, I can foresee a slight problem, because the 17 year old does not have the same life experiences with being in college and/or on their own, and may not be quite ready for them. Depends on the individuals involved.

In Texas that wouldn't be a concern. A 17 year old can consent to sex. Not an abortion but the act of getting pregnant.

This. There was a young man in our town a few years ago. He was dating a girl in the local high school for a couple of years and no problem. He turned 18 and bam! her parents filed the statutory claim.

When my kid was 17, 19 was considered old.

If it's raising red flags, maybe there are other considerations?

And in many of those states the general AOC is 16. That means their exceptions apply for people under 16. For example Connecticut's general AOC is 16.

Must have been Virginia? Under Virginia law ages 15-17 may have relations with one another, but anyone 18 or older would face a misdemeanor if he/she slept with a 15-17 year old.

The main issue with older people is when elderly age kicks in. We knew an innkeeper couple.. the wife was about 60-something and the husband was in his 80s. That made it kind of a challenge for her. But 30 and 45... not necessarily a problem.

Also I hear LGBT couples tend to have higher age gaps since there's fewer of them around.

Depends on the state you live in. In some states it could result in charges being filed against the 19 year old if there is any sexual activity. Keep that in mind! I work in the legal field, so I am always the Debbie Downer on legal issues.

I would not care, this would not bother me.

17 and 19, it's only a two year age difference.

Well, I doubt if the 'rents won the case unless this happened in one of a handful of states where this is the law. Just skimming the link, I see Arizona, Idaho, Kansas (?), Massachusetts (?). Virginia, mentioned earlier does not have such a law.
