I'm a teacher and I have 3 Lily's in my class, it's a nice name but maybe too common now. Henry is also over done. I have inlaws that named all 3 of their kids after presidents. I also don't like when people do themes for their kids names. Like all starting with the same letter.

I love my own kids names. My daughter is Kailey Lynn (Lynn is my moms middle name and my middle name so I kept that tradition going). My son is Jonathan Brody (likes to be called Jon). My husband has "JB" initials and so does his dad, so he wanted to keep that going as well. My husband wanted to name him Jaden but I thought that name is too girly now.

But not for one poor soul in my charge at Ft Sill:

His name was Howard Dick. From East Texas. Had the accent.

A name can be colored by what is included and by what follows it. I have a grandson whose name was decided 15 generations ago, his name is followed by XV, and I use that as part of my user ID. I don't have a middle name, just an initial so my middle initial is followed by (I.O.).

Wasn't your name Linda or Martha? Eh, maybe it's Bambi instead.

hey watch it! j/k
seriously, my nephews are Hunter & Mason. That whole family it's very craftsman oriented. It works okay for them. of course Mason is an electrician....and i think he's going plumbing now, too.

i heard of a mother who couldn't think of twin names so she named them Lemonjello and Orangejello but pronounced the emphasis on the 2nd syllables and made it sound French. LeMON ZSELLO (like Zsa-Zsa) OrRON ZSELLO. You hear all kinds of weird names in Memphis. I heard a mom fussing at her little girl: "Tyrany! Get over here!"
