I pay nothing (but if I wasn't getting it free I'd be paying roughly 150 euros a month for full time care) and am very satisfied with the service, excellent value for money!
I don't have to pay for childcare any longer as my kids are in ES and I am home when they get home from school. If I did have to pay I would be paying $360 a month for AM/PM care per child through the school. I could always pay a teen or college aged person but I have learned they aren't always reliable and it's worth it to pay more for reliability.
Ours started at $300/wk in infant care, down to $208 by pre-k. In public school now and we pay $180/mo for after school care. When he's not in school we send him to camps with are around $225/wk for all day. Holiday care is $59/day at our local Y.
Our daycare is $1950/month for our daughter (15 months). I love the school, but of course it doesn't feel like a great value at nearly $2000/month! If it were $1200 or less I'd feel like it was a great deal. My daughter loves it though and they do many activities with her that I would never attempt with a 15 month old in my own house (painting, water table, sculpting clay, playing with frozen shaving cream, sculpting mashed potatoes, etc.).
